Three Sundays are deliberately left alone. 22 November is kept clear as a breather between Glorify and Go. 13 December is Baptism and Confirmation Sunday with Bishop Stead. 20 and 27 December fall in the Rector's summer leave.

Meet the Minister lunches

Three lunches, 12:00pm to 1:30pm, in the church hall straight after the service: Sunday 4 October, Sunday 1 November and Sunday 6 December. Each sits on a Sunday with no G7 meeting, so the afternoon stays unhurried.

This is the third step on the KOGPathway — First Contact, Face to Face, Meet the Minister, Integration, Church Life, Grow and Serve — and the one the 90-day plan named for a reset. The standard we set ourselves is to greet a visitor within two minutes and to have them at a lunch within three weeks.

How the lunch runs:

  1. Welcome and grace

  2. Lunch together

  3. Our story — God gathers us at St Paul's Kogarah to build and to cultivate his house of prayer, which lives and breathes the gospel of Jesus Christ

  4. Their story — how they came, what they are looking for

  5. The next step — a Home Group, Welcome to Life, or a place on a team

  6. Prayer

Guests are drawn each month from the welcome cards and ChurchSuite follow-up, so the calendar entries are held slots with no attendees. The December lunch falls the week before Baptism and Confirmation Sunday, which makes it a natural place to raise baptism and confirmation with anyone ready for it.

The six G7 meetings

Each team meets once this quarter, 2:00pm to 3:30pm at 57 Princes Highway. Governance is not here: it meets with Parish Council on Friday nights. The dates follow the monthly G7 themes already set in the 2026 yearly planner wherever they line up.

How each meeting runs

Every G7 meeting keeps the same shape, taken from the Grow team's existing agenda so the teams recognise it:

  1. Opening prayer

  2. Devotion

  3. KOGCircle — where our people actually are

  4. KOGPathway — First Contact, Face to Face, Meet the Minister, Integration, Church Life, Grow and Serve

  5. The team's own Term 4 focus

  6. Goals for the next step on the pathway

  7. Actionable steps, and who owns each

  8. Closing prayer

Ninety minutes, and every meeting ends with named owners rather than good intentions. The milestone all six are serving is the same: 75 households serving densely at St Paul's Kogarah across three congregations by 31 December 2026.
